Our Services

  • As soon as you think you may need to make an interim appointment, contact Interim Management for an initial conversation.  All of our team at head office are experienced school leaders, including some interim managers, and we will be happy to advise you on the best course of action, and whether or not interim management is the right answer for you and your school.
  • Dedicated time spent with us at the outset will speed up the selection process; a complete picture of your requirements and the context in which the interim manager will be working will enable us to find the perfect match and to support the assignment at every stage through to completion.
  • Having discussed your requirements in detail we can provide you with a shortlist of candidates (with enhanced CRB clearance), normally within three days. All of the candidates will have been interviewed by us first to check their suitability.
  • Once you have selected your preferred candidate, we will set up an introductory meeting to discuss the placement in detail and to agree objectives, targets and terms.
  • A monitoring consultant will be available to discuss the interim manager’s progress and performance at any time and performance evaluations will be conducted during the placement. The evaluations will focus on key areas agreed when the contract was drawn up.
Where needs change, we are in a position to respond quickly with dynamic variations to the interim package.
  • Interim management is a cost-effective service which provides the specific expertise you require for a limited period  - but with long-term benefits.

The case

Reporting a drop of nearly 65% in exclusions and an increase of 11% in teaching judged by the inspection team to be ‘very good’, a Welsh high school has been removed from special measures by our interim team whose leadership resulted in ‘a remarkable turnaround in pupil achievement and higher attendance’.
